Ch. 1 - WELCOME ABOARD
Fair tides, AXAnauts!
After lots of brainstorming, I’ve decided to lean into strangeness. Many authors have a general blog that expands on the projects they’re working on and promotes their work. I’ve decided to transform that idea a little—a blend of fantasy and reality in journal form for you, the curious AXAnaut, to explore.
So…here aboard the xPress, I will be your captain, and together we will travel through the AXAverse. What does that really mean, Alexandra?
The xPress is going to be a meta-experience in which you and I become characters in this world and can interact with the characters from my stories and art.
As you envision a character to travel alongside our motley crew, some things to think about:
What kind of character would you like to be?
What do you look like?
What do you seek on this journey?
What motivates you?
Beyond my experimental meta-ship entries, other posts you can expect to see…
Journal entries: similar to that of a personal diary, where I open up about what I’m up to and how I’m doing—a glance behind the curtain.
Process: behind the scenes on my process, both writing and art-related.
Discussions: a deep dive into a piece of work I’ve consumed. It could be a book review, cover art, a movie, a TV series, or something else.
Questions: I'm reaching out to you, curious about your response to a topic or something I’ve created.
It’s going to be an interesting, experimental, fun, wild, strange ride, AXAnauts!
